Pre Departure

Let's just start at the beginning--packing sucks. You wanna know what's worse than packing? Packing with limitations set by an airline. I'm going to Ireland for four months--four months, people!! I need stuff and a lot of it. First of all, we're already paying a billion dollars to actually fly somewhere, do we really need to pay baggage fees? (The correct answer is no). Anyway, it would be nice to just stuff everything into one big suitcase and you're on your way, but nooooo, there's a freakin' weight limitation too! Go over that you pay extra, go over the size pay extra. That's sooo not fair. I know airlines make that limitation so you HAVE to take two bags so they can make more money stupid airlines. So I ended up packing two bags and will get charged an arm and a leg for it, but oh well. It doesn't bother me THAT much 'cause I'm going to IRELAND!!! YAY!!

For those of you who don't know me, but happen to be reading this (although I don't know why you would be) I am studying abroad in Ireland for four whole months!! I'm going to an art school in Ballyvaughan called the Burren College of Art. Am I excited you ask? Why yes, yes I am. I'm going up to San Diego tonight and will be flying out tomorrow at 7:45 in the a.m. (ugh). I am a wee bit nervous considering the last time I flew I was like 10 and I was with family so it's a bit nerve racking going by myself on two pretty long flights especially when security is as heightened as it is. Oh well, it'll be an adventure! (adventure time!!) Anyway, I guess that's all for now. I've never had a blog so I don't really know how consistent I'll be with this. But I'll be posting some sweet photos and talking about the cool things I do so you all back home can be uber jealous...mwahahahha! Just kidding, but really.
